The Media Resources Library
Teachers: The complete and updated Media Resources Catalogue can now be viewed from this link.
Your username and password (found on your pay stub) will be required to enter the site.
Blank AV forms can be downloaded in PDF format on the site You can search by Title, Keyword,
Subject or Series.
The Media resources Library offers several types of resources:
- Videos-we have thousands of videos supporting many curriculum areas
- Kits-containing a variety of hands-on materials from skeletons to incubators to complete study units
- Portfolios
- Multimedia/audio CDs
How Do I Book A Resource?
There are currently two methods for booking resources:
- Directly through AVBS on your school computer
- By submitting a request to the Media Resources Library, Learning resource Centre

The completed form can be couriered to the Learning Resources Centre at the Newmarket Education Centre, or faxed to 905-830-1174.
Your request will then be inputted on a first come, first served basis, and a confirmation will be sent to you via courier.
Once the Resource is Booked, How Will I Receive It?
All booked resources are sent directly to your school or work location through our courier system. They are delivered in round
white canvas bags. All resources are also picked up in this same manner. Please have the materials ready to be picked up
on or before the indicated due date.
How Long Can I Have The Resource For?
Videos can be booked for up to 7 school days, and Kits, Portfolios and CDs can be booked for up to 15 school days.
The return date appears on your confirmation as well as on the lower right corner of your resource's shipping label.
We ask you to be aware of and respect the return date as it is likely someone has booked the resource immediately after you.
If you require the resource for a longer period of time, extensions of existing bookings must be requested by telephone
on or before the scheduled return date. When calling to extend a booking please have the catalogue number of the
resource you
would like to extend ready.
